Election Procedures

1 - Candidate Nominations

At Least 105 Days PRIOR to Election, the Elections Rules need to be finalized. This starts by mailing out the nomination forms and gathering both interested nominee statements and Candidate Nomination forms.

2 - Ballot Creation & Mailing

At Least 30 days PRIOR to the Election, After all of the interested candidate forms are received, the general notice of nomination procedures and deadlines should be sent. New ballots are created to be included in the upcoming election. All necessary forms such as envelopes with return postage is included and mailed out. A General Notice needs to be sent out to include: A) Date, time, and address to send ballots. B) Date, Time, and Location of Ballot Counting Meeting. C) List of Candidates to appear on the ballots.

3 - Annual Meeting

Once Quorum is established and met, the meeting is called to order.confirming that all ballots are in, the inspectors open and count ballots.

4 - Ballot Counting

The Ballots would be counted and presented to the board. these results would also need to be posted within 15 days from the close of the Annual meeting. The Board would hold an Organizational Meeting to elect officers.

5 - Announce and Store Results

After the results are counted and confirmed, they would also need to be posted within 15 days from the close of the Annual meeting. The sealed ballots, signed voter envelopes, voter list, proxies, and candidate registration list shall at all times be in the custody of the inspector or inspectors of elections or at a location designated by the inspector or inspectors until after the tabulation of the vote, and until the time allowed by Section 5145 for challenging the election has expired.
